Ham & Cheese Biscuits

Be amazed.

I’ve come up with the world’s best, most flexible biscuit recipe ever!  (You may now give homage.)

  • 1 stick butter/margarine
  • about 2 cups flour
  • 1 to 1.5 Tablespoons baking powder
  • a tiny bit of salt (optional)
  • 3/4 to 1 cup milk
  • Oven to 400F degrees

With this very basic recipe, a person can bake: scones of any flavor (cranberry, blueberry, even s’mores) by adding some sugar, regular ol’ cut-out biscuits, drop biscuits, cheesy garlic biscuits (like the ones from Red Lobster) by adding garlic and cheese, and (today’s experiment) ham and cheese biscuits!

Pre-baked picture. (As I’m writing this, the ones I’ve baked already disappeared!)

All I added to this recipe was a large handful of grated cheese and a large handful of chopped ham (leftover lunchmeat in my case).  I also substituted Almond Milk and a little dry milk for the regular milk to the mix.

The house filled with a fabulous aroma.  Mmmmmmm!

And they turned out AMAZINGLY well.  The Child thought so too!

Notice The Child, waiting to strike while the biscuits are hot!
